Looks good. Almost looks like you're using a single wide angle lens. :)

I'd like to get a nice wide angle one day and do some nice landscape shots.

I really do love that little camera, It has a stitch option on the camera and its onboard software does the stiching right on the camera so it creates a seamless shot, and does a pretty fair job of it. Going with a good entry level camera that has a Pano mode is probably the easiest way of getting your feet wet with wide angle shots. Otherwise its going for the much more than several hundred buck camera with all sorts of expensive lenses.

I already have a Canon 400d, so the lens is my best bet I think. :P

Since I mostly just do extreme closeups of invertebrates, it would be nice for me to branch out.

It really is quite awesome. We went in mid june last summer, and still half the park was closed due to snow!!! so timing is everything for this park!

I want to live on that island.

Thankfully its currently extinct, but it would be rather a neat place to call home. I could imagine a dragon falling in love with that place rather!
