I don't know if he was thinking of the markings when he wrote the story, I didn't read it before I drew the picture, but when I think of a lynx I think of those beautifully marked little powerhouses that look absolutely magnificent on the hunt. So I drew her like that

Color palate was black and gray, with a golden pop at the eyes.
