For a terrifying moment Tiffany couldn't remember where she was. Her mind felt like it has been wrapped in soft felt and then smashed with a sledgehammer. The room seemed to be spinning slowly. She shook her head in an attempt to clear some of the cobwebs from her mind. Work, she was at work; the harsh lighting of the room and the empty red booth bench in front of her confirmed it. As her eyes scanned downward she was noticed the table was scattered with empty plates.
"Oh no," Tiffany whispered quietly to herself.
It couldn't have been a satiety incident, she'd been so good keeping an eye on things to make sure she never got too hungry. It was one of the reasons she'd been accepted into the meal collar study on such short notice, the idea being that it would never let her get too empty so she wouldn't make a pig of herself. The whole thing didn't feel right. Normally when she'd come out of a binge she'd just feel sort of bloated and lethargic, but now she just felt... numb.
Tiffany realised she was clutching a half eaten burger. A half eaten Mega burger. They were new: a greasy double patty caloric bomb covered in the restaurant's brand new 'super cheese' sauce. As she stared at it she was overcome with a wave a nausea but with the added urge to jam it into her mouth anyway. The burger fell from her fingers and landed on a small pile of plates with an unappetizing splat.
The numbness was starting to fade only to be replaced with a full body ache. It felt less like a simple case of overeating and more like waking to the aftermath of a week long bender. She had to get out of there. As she attempted to stand a painful sensation shot through her stomach: the table was pinning her in place. Her hands shot forward and grasped her stomach.
"Oh god no," Tiffany said a little less quietly.
Even though her breasts were blocking the view she could feel exposed sharkshin bulging out from every area her hands could reach, the shirt not even attempting to cover her stomach anymore. The XXL shirt she had switched to earlier that week. It felt like a beachball had been inflated underneath it. A beach ball that was a far bigger than the shirt was designed to contain. She felt a chill as her hands reached a button hole with no accompanying button on the other side. Not only had she outgrown another work shirt she had actually burst out of one.
The need to exit the booth was growing. Her shoes slid along the floor as she franticly tried to scoot backward. The booths weren't bolted to the floor but the increased weight of her belly and the lack of traction from her shitty work soles left her wedged in place. The feeling of despair began to bubble up from within replacing the need to flee. She had gone from a size L to who knows how many X's in less than a month, how was that even possible? Her eyes began to tear up.
The voice of Steve, the hyena cook, temporarily blocked the incoming flood, "Um, are you ok?"
Tiffany sniffled and glanced in his direction. He was standing just off to the side of the table behind her. He looked rather nervous and, quite unexpectedly, sober. Tiffany wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and sighed. "What happened?"
The nervousness faded slightly, "What do you mean?"
Tiffany motioned to the table. Her stomach made a gurgling glorping noise for emphasis.
"Oh." He paused. "Well, I was showing you the new automatic burger maker and we were talking about how all I really do now is move things around." He grinned. "And, well, you were poking around the powdered sauce hoppers and you puffed the cheese one."
Tiffany's eyes narrowed, "Puffed?"
The grin vanished. "Er, right. You hit the cleaning lever and took a snout full of that new cheese dust to the face. It was actually kinda funny."
She felt her mouth moving towards an snarl and hissed, "And then?"
The hyena looked away, staring at the floor, "You asked for a burger."
"Uh huh. So why am I surrounded by what looks like the remains of many?" She gave the table a good thump for effect causing the plates to rattle and her stomach to slosh uncomfortably.
He gulped, "Right. Well, after you finished the first one you asked for more."
Tiffany found herself almost yelling, "So you just kept giving me burgers!?"
He pulled the paper hat from his head and wadded it between his paws before answering quietly, "You were acting weird. You can be really intimidating."
Tiffany sat in silence for a moment, the only noise coming from her gurgling midsection.
After regaining some composure she finally said, "I told you about my... condition. Why would you keep giving me food?"
He looked back up, "I didn't think it was that! You had just eaten almost an entire basket of fish sticks and you said it wouldn't happen unless you were hungry."
She racked her brain trying to recall anything from the beginning of her shift but came back with nothing. The earliest thing she could remember was getting ready this morning. Everything after that was a blur of noises and sensations.
Steve spoke first, "You don't remember?"
Tiffany quietly said, "No. I can't remember anything from this morning."
"Is that normal?"
"No. I've never had anything quite this," she guested to her stomach, "bad before." On every prior incident she could remember everything up until the point her hunger took over. It was normally a clean break from feeling hungry to bloated aftermath. This on the other hand, was something new.
"Should I call someone?"
"No! Just... just let me sit here for a bit. Can you cover for me if anyone comes in?"
His grin returned, "Sure!" He smoothed his crushed hat to the best of his ability and placed it back on his head.
"And can you please not mention this to anybody?"
He smiled, "Sure thing. Remember we're snack buddies." He began to walk back towards the counter. "Plus I'll take a look at that cheese sauce, maybe there's something weird in it."
As she watched him disappear around the corner and out of sight she began to massage her aching stomach. She debated internally for a moment before yelling out, "And can you grab me a 3X shirt?"

It's worth a whole lot! :D
And I've seen that series, the whole 'magical collar' thing I guess has been explored in the past, but it's up to us as writers and artists to put new and fresh takes on things and you've certainly brought a strong degree of originality to the concept <3

While Tiffany stops using the collar after this, her story is still running. I just haven't posted it yet.

The focus does switch to Nora for this one, but Tiffany is in there. :)
