After getting the original sketch, I said to myself, "That looks simple enough that I could probably trace it in Adobe Illustrator and add color." So, I did. I'm currently in a web development program at school, but I've just started up a series of programming classes and I didn't want my skills with Illustrator and the other programs I use for the graphic design part to rust, so I figured it would be a good way to keep my hand in.

Anyway, I like the idea of Link (Legend of Zelda) getting his comeuppance from various NPCS, because Link is kind of a jerk, when you think about it. I mean, he goes wandering into people's houses without asking permission if they leave the door unlocked, he loots their chests for valuables, blows holes in their walls, beats up their chickens, traps fairies in bottles.
In Oracle of Seasons/Ages, there's a young apprentice witch named Maple who sometimes flies by on her broom. She will try to go around you, so Link has to actively run into her to make her crash and drop all her stuff, after which he then attempts to steal everything she dropped. Talk about ungentlemanly behavior! So, here's Maple turning Link into a frog because she's tired of him running off with all her rupees.

I'm aware the background sucks. The original sketch didn't have one, so I had to come up with my own and I'm not very good at coming up with stuff out of my head. I'm pretty pleased with the rest though.

Edit: Made some small changes to try and give the background the illusion of depth and distance. Not entirely successful, but it's an improvement, I think.
