When the dragon who's supposed to be the guest of honor at the Dragon's Day festival eats the entire feast before the day even begins and tries to sneak away before anyone notices, it might be time to reevaluate which dragon you make "guest of honor". Unfortunately for Azar, his sneaking is drastically reduced when trying to waddle with so much food inside him. Added to that, how did he expect to escape? It'll be tough to fly with that extra baggage.
