I can't believe how perfect this style is. Man, I'm gonna hunt it down and fave it on all of the art sites!
The sparesly used black streaks on the character makes for incredibly effective cast shadows. I also adoooore how they combine with the muddled blue and brown gradients on the stepladder. A few quick strokes, yet perfectly descriptive of shapes and their dimention. Masterfully done.
And yes, the way the yellow and red parts pop against the faded background… uuuugh, this is so very much up my alley in every single way. All the individual elements of this picture are things I love in visual art, and you’ve combined them to lethal levels of awesome!
Would it be possible to commission you for something similar? Not with the same character or setting, but with the same media and paper and a similar use of colour and texture?

There really aren't enough words I can use to say how good this is. Like DUUUUUUUUDE. The proportions and the pose and the colours and the layout of all of it and ohhhhh my gosh!!!!! (And those shoes are perfect!!!)
