FURSUIT HEAD
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the fursuit. If you are reviewing only a set of ears, your answers would also go in this section.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your fursuit.
Are you satisfied with how it fits you? How is the ventilation? How is the vision?
The fursuit head is a tad too loose and tends to slip around on my head, which is distracting but not a big issue. It is rather difficult to get it on when I'm wearing my glasses though, which is a shame since I specifically gave her measurements for my glasses as well.
There are parts of the fursuit that I've had to touch up, a thin part of foam on the inside has already ripped and the ears do not seem to be secured on very well.
It is not lined but I didn't really expect it to be.
The ventilation is awesome, I really don't have any issues breathing in it.
The vision is also pretty great, I don't have a lot of problems navigating in it.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your fursuit piece looks from the outside.
How is the symmetry? Is the shaving even? How does the fur feel and look? How satisfied are you with the overall expression and appearance of the head? Does it match the concept art?
The symmetry is fairly decent, he doesn't have a lot of symmetrical markings in the first place. I have noticed that the eyes are a bit crooked, but it's fairly difficult to notice.
The shaving is even everywhere except the inside of the ears where it is pretty choppy.
It was airbrushed, but I have no problem brushing and smoothing it. As of right now I've had no problems with the markings rubbing off or bleeding!
The expression of the suit is pretty dang great, and it looks like a high quality suit head. The eyes were supposed to be follow me but they don't really achieve that effect, but I'm not salty about it.
It does match concept art surprisingly well, normally artists draw his markings up in the air but Ellie made the face markings look remarkably similar to the reference sheet.
Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your head has.
What are they and how do they work? How easy are they to wear? How is the quality?
I would like to say that I was promised she would make jewelry for my suit head in the two weeks between it being "finished" and being shipped. That didn't happen.
OVERALL VISUAL SATISFACTION
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with the overall visual aspects associated with the fursuit. How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
If there was no concept art, please state N/A
10/10 she did a great job with this!
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Do you markings match up at the seams? Are the colors consistent?
She used an airbrush so everything flows smoothly
MAKER INTERACTION AND COMMISSION PROCESS
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with all the aspects of communication between you and the maker. How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Initially it was very easy since we were good friends at the beginning of this experience.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take them to respond?
For a very long time she would respond very quickly, within a day or so. However, for a while I guess she jumped ship and stopped checking Facebook so my messages went unread. Her accounts over at FA seem to be abandoned for the time being. I had to track her down on her personal tumblr to get any updates, which was totally unacceptable.
How satisfied are you with the level of professionalism and friendliness of the maker?
Were they pleasant to work with?
They were definitely not pleasant to work with. She would put off sending me updates because she was going on vacation all the time, I would wait patiently for her to send me some WIP which did not come until nearly two months before it was finished.
Multiple times she would tell me random things are done, then when I would ask for pictures she would tell me she still had to do these things.
She also would constantly forget what I had ordered and what I had paid for it, and asked me multiple times to re-send my reference sheet.
I even paid a $50 rush fee around August 2015 for my suit to take priority in her queue, but yet she would guilt trip me by saying that she had to ask her other clients if it was okay if she could give my suit priority.
She also reminded me her quality had improved since I had initially commissioned her (in the year it took her to not do anything), so I ended up paying above my originally quoted price.
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
Very unsatisifed, it took her a year and a half to finish my suit head and even then I almost didn't get it in time for MFF because she waited so long to ship the head.
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
I'd say a 7/10
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service with the maker?
Probably a 2/10
Describe your experience. What were the pros and cons of working with this maker? And any final comments?
Pros -
Really cute fursuit
Cons -
Customer service was a nightmare
Deadlines will not be met
Complaints will be met with guilt trips
She will ignore you and even up and abandon social media where she can be contacted
I love my fursuit head, it looks amazing. I do hope Ellie will become more professional because she has a great talent. Until then I recommend staying away.

The info for the slot I applied for is still up on their page, but this is what they said at the time about a deadline "September will be the possible deadline for this commission. But is not 100% official. The Deadline can be before of after the date we say. This is an emergency commission, not a formal one."
However, she did promise me at different times that it would be done and didn't deliver. Here's an example of what would happen when I would ask if she fulfilled her promise https://twitter.com/ghostsaber/stat.....98953435402240
And this is after she agreed my suit would take priority because I paid a rush fee.

Well. . . it's a shame that she doesn't pay that much attention to her customer service because as you said before she has a very big talent and to be honest I loved my suit (BTW I'm an owner of a Dorky Dog Suit) though as you said several of the things you mentioned happened to me the same way. The loose head was a problem with me though I already found a way to work around it and it lets you breathe perfectly which is one of the biggest features of this suit. I've been suiting for hours and not fainting. However another point you mentioned about the ears happened to me and I saw that they weren't that secure. I think that they could fall off anytime without noticing; something else to mention is the fact that she promised me too accessories for my suit which is a partial suit but she didn't finish the legs which she told me she would. I'm still friends with her because in the end I tried to keep the business thing apart from our friendship however she has so many things in her customer service that she has to work on. She actually asked me for my footpaws (The quality was not as good as expected) but she noticed right away and the last time we saw each other she took my footpaws for a fix and as well she promised me to send me my sleeves for the legs (To wear my suit in shorts) but since then I haven't had any contact with her. In this same page you can see my review which I left as neutral but I highly agree with yours because it seems like I'm not the only one that had this issue with her work. I'm sorry you went through this and hopefully our reviews will help her improve her customer service which is highly poor.
Your review is actually what caused me to write mine, I didn't want people to think that she didn't have a lot of issues when she has more than her fair share. I really hope you get your feet paws and leg sleeves soon ;w; glad you like your suit though! I really do hope she gets it together, she could have a huge business if she knew how to manage time better
Yeah I know :/ I tend to be very soft and I at some point thought I was overexhagerating that's why my review was bad but at the same time pretty neutral unfortunately your description to her customer service was pretty close to mine and that's what made me reconsider some of my review points. I'm glad you had the guts and more than that, you were way more objective with your review than I was. You have a huge point on her having a damn big business but if she took care of her customers better. I hope the same too and as well I hope she improves her customer service because if not for reviews like yours and maybe mine she will have to deal with a decrease on her number of interested prospects to commish her.
Note: This customer service experience is as well shown on her drawing commishes, big talent and bick lack of responsability and that's something that some of her customers (close friends of mine) have told me.

Wow, this is a big NO. A quote is a quote and for the commissioner to have to pay more because of the artist's procrastination is a huge red flag.
