The lioness alighted on the grass, letting out a chuff of exertion as she regained her balance. The Dance had ended.
She felt good -- amazingly good. She brimmed with energy, barely able to keep still. Jin and Hazel's bodies had come together perfectly to form this glorious new one. She felt more whole than she had in a long time. A bit of worry flashed through her mind, surely coming from Hazel, but it was the kind of excited nervousness that made one's heart race and blood pump. Hazel was doing better as a first timer than many of Jin's previous partners had after multiple sessions.
But that could be worried about later. It would take years of practice together to perfect the dance, if they decided that was what they both wanted. Right now, the lioness that was Hazel and Jin had other matters to attend to: she needed to stretch her limbs, to run and jump and play. She had only a few hours before the effects of the dance would end and she would become Hazel and Jin, separate, again.
Pushing all trepidation aside, she bounded off into the woods. It was going to be a fun afternoon.

The other day, I saw a post with a bunch of D&D prestige classes. One of them was a monk prestige class called a “lion dancer” or “lion boxer” or something. What caught my eye about them, though, was that their special ability involved two people performing a dance together to turn into a lion. I thought this was an interesting idea, so I decided to draw it. I think the idea may have been a bit beyond my technical skill, but I’m fairly pleased with the second page, at least.

I hadn't even thought of that, but that's a very interesting question! Would the prey be split in half? Cloned, so there's one in each belly? Do they just end up in one? That could be rather troublesome if the prey ended up in Hazel's stomach and it turns out she's not a predator -- or at least she wasn't before that.
would be an interesting thing to explore, though do to your work being a no reformation thing would avoid the cloning path as that would allow pred A and B to eat prey turn back then pred B barf up prey who must then watch as a the original/clone is digested.. though vorifiles would probably think it is cool.
EDIT: though if you think about it if the prey only goes to one or is cloned, it would make a great way for normally none predatory beings who can not eat others to experience what it is like.
