Huh? If it didnt look so similar you both wouldnt be getting so offended. I just find it odd that you say its a closed species when it looks like a copy of already made characters, add stripes and change the color and its uncandy.. If you dont see it then thats your own blind ignorance. I just think this looks very similar to kharis character, especially his squeedgemonster commission.

A character design is defined by it's shape and structure, and both of them are different.
I personally was noting how this happens so often on FA and it's quite amusing, didn't expect an explosive response.

Lol just because i stated the issue i see doesnt mean it is explosive, i dont see how someone can claim private species on a character that looks similar to already made characters.. The only difference i see besides fur pattern, which btw isnt good enough to say that they look completely different because that has nothing to do with the species, all characters will have different colors and features sure. But besides the fur pattern difference the only big change is this character can change its tail pattern... So for example is khari never allowed to change his tail because that would be trespassing this character? I couldnt care less if two characters look similar, but when one claims its a private species when it looks like a knock off of an already existing character is kind of silly.. Khari even has a feral form that looks similar to that.. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13977767/ which btw also has a tail designed differently too.. So there really isnt much difference between the two characters

Kwik is correct.
The two look nothing alike in appearance. And there is a lot more to this species than just the outside look. Guessing you didn't read the link I posted which lead to the anatomy of the species. :D

And besides if KhariYAP (or anyone for that matter) has a personal issue with my character's design they can come talk to me personally. But for now I see no need to concern myself over it.

Like i said, you cant judge this off furpattern and design. The anatomy is too similar for you to consider this a closed species without ripping khari off in my opinion. Maybe you should send a note to him because really its you trespassing characters, he has nothing to do with any of this besides maybe inspiring you to build something similar but *shrigs* idk.

I do not see why I need to make the first move to ask permission from others if my character's ok or not. I've had Paunch designed like this for 4yrs (earliest sketch is in scraps), so If someone "personally" has an issue they can come talk to me.. But so far the only person bothered by this seems to be you. So unless you are Khari then I do not see the point of this discussion continuing further.

Its not just khari. Melissar makes these, pandasocks has a couple, look up kragocs, gezaks, all of these are hardly any different from eachother so i dont understand what makes you have so much power to say that its private and yours on a common character design

I'm not saying characters can't look similar. I know this design isn't exactly rare overall. However, a combination of all the traits rolled into one design is unique to TailMorphs.

All these creatures listed do they all have these traits in "one" design?
-Expandable belly folds
-Tail morphing ability
-Prehensile hand tongue (not just a normal tongue)
-Fuzzy belly ridges
-De-saturated eye colors due to partial blindness

Basically what you're saying and how you think is like comparing a Leopard with a Jaguar. Yes they're both cats, but they are also both different.

Noooooo what im comparing is lets see... A mass of corgis, all having their own traits, and one is saying their unique and special and no one can be like him/her. I have no idea what their traits are xD nor do i care enough to look into it, and frankly over this chat, if you want to say you have a private species sure, go ahead.. I guess i was taking it too far, i guess i was looking into it like you made this, call it private then shame every similar looking character. But if you arent pushing messages to those others that have similar characters or new ones being made then it really doesnt matter
