The process of drawing, lining, coloring and designing an idea.
With my Grandpa being in the hospital, I thought of the song Nani sings to Lilo in Lilo and Stitch, "Aloha 'Oe", also known as "Farewell to Thee". Nani sings this song to her sister when all hope seems lost, and she knows the social worker will be taking Lilo from her the next day. When I was thinking of the lyrics, it made me sad, but it also made me think of the happy times, so instead of drawing Lilo and Nani at that sad moment, I wanted it to be a happy time that we may even take for granted, like Nani kissing Lilo while also blowing in her face just to be goofy as they separate for the day and Nani goes on the hunt for a job. It's the little gestures in life that show love, that show someone cares about you and that even during times of stress, we have each other.
My grandpa passed away very early this morning, and all the more, I thought of this song; this is not a definite goodbye, just "Until we meet again". RIP.
