It was no secret that the goddesses of Light and Nature didn't see eye to eye on a lot of issue, most of them on how to handle the destruction caused by humans. Viridi, the Goddess of Nature, wanted them destroyed, while Palutena objected to her acts of vengeance, presenting a powerful obstacle to the nature goddess, stating she had overstepped her domain. But with the aid of some cursed wolfsbane slipped into her drink, Palutena unwittingly joined the Forces of Nature under Viridi's control. As the moon rose in the night Sky, the goddess of light came to see things from a different point of view.
