Man it felt nice to actually work on my painting chops again! What better way than with the lovely Manu's birdies as the subject!
Here they are vacationing to San Francisco on their way to perch on one of the city's famous landmarks, Coit Tower. I was originally going to make this a day scene, but thought Id bump up the romance a bit with making it a night scene!
I thought the Transamerica Pyramid would make a nice compositional addition to the image, so I threw that in back!

You have no idea how much I love this commission! SQUEEE! The picture and composition is perfect! I love the nighttime atmosphere and air of romance. The colours blend nicely. I love your use of light and shadow on Kalena (light from Coit Tower). I love the presence of the Transamerica Pyramid tower and the "glow" surrounding the pyramid top!
