As someone in /tg/ pointed out, Sergals in the Imperium would be utterly terrifying- less because they're Sergals, but more because they're xenos.
They are abominations in the eyes of their own God, and believe that through their death they gain vindication. They would be fearless, almost suicidal, in combat, welcoming their deaths as further end to heresy. It would be nightmarish.
(And of course the irony is that the Emperor, were he alive, would so incredibly disapprove of the Inquisition's anti-Xeno stance. Yet another piece to add to the inherent tragedy that is the crapsack universe of 40k.)
Personally, I don't like the Sergals, but I think that's mostly because they seem too obviously designed to be sexualized (prehensile vaginas and all that). Other than that, the society is rather well-designed, replete with flaws as well as good points.

From my experience Japanese tend to oversexualize a lot of things. That's a fact. The fact that /tg/ made a huge effort to write a whole history for them is another.
Sergals would probably be like Ratlings, Ogryns or even 1st-ed Imperial Beastmen. I wouldn't be surprised if a controlled breeding/cloning project was undertaken to mass-produce sergal soldiers as hell-zone troopers.
