I had always planned on doing some of those "recreating childhood pet photos" but I always put it off. I'd say "I'll do it one day" all the time.

Now it's too late, and I wish it didn't have to end this way.

14 years, I spent most of my life with you. You were my best friend, my sister, my rock. Whenever I was upset you would come running to cheer me up with cuddles. You always knew when something was wrong with me. You would always follow closely behind us around the yard, every time. You protected us from unfamiliar dogs (even though you didn't really need to most times, but still). You loved meeting people, always coming up to greet guests. You would always sleep in my bed as much as you could, you'd sit at my desk if I was at it, always there. You were never mean, always kind and friendly.

Life won't be the same without you, I can't even comprehend that my best friend is really gone. We will always love you.

Until we meet again.
