Given that The Lion King is one of the Disney franchises I am a fan of, I was curious about The Lion Guard. I watched the movie and first three episodes, and I'm honestly liking it. Kion's not a bad character, and I like that flame-like crop of what will eventually become a mane. I also like the diversity of the titular guard-with the honey badger getting a few chuckles out of me. And the first episode where Kion connected with that not-villainous hyena was nice. My only real concern is the Roar. Not saying it's bad. It's a kickass finisher. It just seems like a cure-all that will resolve every conflict in the end. Hopefully, there will be more variety. Other than that, I like the series, so far. I await to see where it goes, next.
