The entire Luck family, along with Daniel and Candy; who might as well have been part of the family, all sat around a pleasantly warm campfire. It irradiated a yellow-orange glow.
"How does it make you feel that you didn't get to sit next to daddy?" Teased the little caprine-bunwolf, to Daniel, who sat beside her.
"Diala, hush." Brinley nudged her side softly, before giving her another marshmallow to her daughter to keep her occupied.
"Im okay with it." Daniel smiled "it means i get to look across the fire at him, take in the way the flame seems to light the most precious and beautiful details of his face." He giggled; causing Rook to turn away and blush softly, and Diala to let out a bit of a blechk, before going back to her marshmallow.
It didn't take long of Rook shying his face away from the blue wolf's tender romantic gaze, for him to stand up, slowly walking towards his lover.
A blush still spread across Rooks face; although mostly hidden by the reddish hue of the fire, Rook eyes darted to each side of him, while he waited for what he knew was coming.
Toriel's velvet soft hand stroked across his, as she gave a subtle nod towards Daniel. Trinity gave a gentle smile, as if silently telling him its okay.
Then, Rook turned his gaze foreword. There, the blue and white wolf stood, bowed over slightly as he held out his hand. "May i have the honors?" His voice seemed to coo in just such a way to send s chill of embarrassment down the horned bunwolf's body.
Rook nervously took the hand in front of him. They had been together for years, but Daniel still knew just how to make him squirm. "... You may." Almost immediately after giving permission, Daniel pulled his partner to his chest, gleefully making a show for everyone to see.
"Nnh.. You're doing this as revenge for my flamenco surprise aren't you?" Rooks warm blush seeming to radiate more than the fire by this point. The clapping, and coy giggle from Brinley only making it far more nerve wracking.
"Perhaps. It was a good bagel you made me ruin; you crazy bunwolf." Daniel smirked, before pulling Rook out of the fire light, and into the shadows of nearby trees.
"This is 'revenge' for all the times you surprise me with your crazy and romantic antics!" Daniel gave a loud giggle, forcing his lips to Rooks; causing the horned bunwolf to squirm and flail, before eventually melting against his partner. Resting his hands on Daniel's shoulders, as he in turn put his hands on Rook's hips.
The kiss could have lasted seconds or hours, both of them lost all track of time as their bodies pressed together. Breaths shared between each other, as the whole world melted away around them.
Nothing shook them from this perfect utopia, until Rook felt himself pulled from the ground, lifted bridal style by the strong arms of his canine beaux. A surprised yelp escaped his maw, only to be greeted again by Daniel's loving voice. "Come on. That wasn't my revenge." He smiled, carrying Rook into the tree line.
It wasn't long until they came to a clearing. Lit by fireflies, they beamed around a gentle stream, dotted with the occasional bluebell. A hot blush, all too familiar by this point, lit up Rooks face brighter than any of the lightning bugs. "D.. Daniel..." He stuttered, before being set down on a nice cozy blanket, that Daniel presumably put here preemptively.
"I found this a while back, and convinced your family to bring you out camping for just this." Daniel smirked, before laying down next to Rook; who immediately clung to him dependently.
"You even got Trinity on this ...?" Rook blushed, realizing how unusually easy Trinity let him go.
Daniel nodded, putting his arm over the cuddly bunwolf, to return his dependent cling, with a romantic hug. "I can surprise you too once in a while, you know." He brushed their muzzles together with a smile.
Rook didn't respond, instead just nuzzling extra close; both arms tight against Daniel, and his face buried in his neck.
"Love you Rookie bun" Daniel giggled, kissing against his snuggle partners head, before pointing to the night sky. "Look, see how much prettier the stars are out here, away from town?"
Rooks nervous face turned to a smile under the delicate kiss, giving another soft nuzzle, before turning his head up to watch the stars as well. "You know, the stars up there, are almost as pretty as the stars in your eyes." Rook giggled playfully.
Daniel pouted softly, as his cheeked bloomed pink. "Its my night to be romantic, not yours." His voice just barely cracking to a giggle, as he placed his finger over Rook's lips.
"But Daniellllll" Rook pouted, until he was thrown from his moment, by the wolf in question rolling on top, and pinning him down.
"Youre always clinging to me, never afraid to let everyone know you love me, or finding fun, fancy ways to tell me you love me, now, its my turn." Daniel nervously cleared his throat. "To tell you, that, since you've come to my life, I've only gotten happier. Every night i lay in bed with thoughts of you, the silly, the cute, the romantic, i can never get you out of my mind, and, i don't want too."
Every word make Rook squirm and blush harder, and harder. His face hurting from the sheer blood rush of it all.
"I think about walking to your house in the rain, the flamenco surprise, when you had me on a scavenger hunt to the park, and so much more! I... I want to spend the rest of my life with you; you crazy bunwolf."
Rook watched, as Daniel's face turned a brighter shade of red, than Rook had ever seen. Both of his arms gliding around his neck, as he leaned up for a precious kiss. "Yes." Rook quietly murmured, before pulling their lips together, one more time.

Super cute, sweet and short, over all it was fun to read and had me wiggling excitedly to see the cuteness, the first part could use some work, the whole family sitting around the fire scene didn't have much to it and it felt rushed, which is understandable since the rest of it was just oozing it cuteness but I do think more detail was needed at that first seen, talk more about how the other characters are reading and how the nigh feels :3
