This is how you LEARN to draw something:

1. Pick a subject to study. (legs)
2. Draw it a few times from memory.
3. Draw it "wrong" a few times, changing things to see how they look. (knees go way up, way down, experiment with proportions)
4. Now find some references (real images are best) and compare them to what you have.
5. Draw the refs paying attention to form, NOT detail. What makes them work?
6. Remove references and go back to step two.
7. COMPARE your new "from memory" sketches to your previous ones.

AND BEHOLD: DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT IN A SHORT TIME SPAN. Concentrate on the excitement of beholding your personal improvement, enjoy the feeling, love it, and do it again tomorrow!!
