Detail shot of the crystalline. The wood is a piece of scrap taken from an lod desk 5/8 thickness. The background was painted using acrylics. Next I stencilled on the design and applied the tiles, glass and stone mosaic tile. Next cam an additional paint layer to hide the pencil and a stone mosiac border, and whalaa!

A wonderful detail of the Crystalline, I simply love the textures you chose for the wing coloration and the is a lovely variation of oranges for her scales. I love the tie in of blue horns, claws and belly scales to go with her blue wings. What is the texture that you used for the moon's silhouette, it looks almost metallic?
I painted the outline of the moon in silver acrylic paint, that actually looks quite metallic in person. Over top of that I glues on clear glass which was once a juice bottle to keep the texture and height of the work cohesive and symmetrical. I'm glad you like it.
