I know some of you guys wanted to see pictures of this little bugger so I bothered him to take some just now. u v u
he looks bigger than he looks in person in these pictures for some reason. And I think he's a white-footed mouse :3 a type of deer mouse-- but apparently hantavirus is extremely rare in ontario and i doubt he'd have external parasites this time of year? probably going to try to get him a vet check anyway... orz
I already got him to take some food from my hand and he did a couple cute little test-nibbles on my fingers and checked out my hands a few times already, so he might be tameable! I think he's grumpy today though, because he gave me a few quick little shoves when I put my hand in after these pics, and made a little noise XDD Liek "screw off human!"
He's definitely not a biter though, which is really nice. = v= <3

I thought so too! His fur is so soft and pretty~ It was really hard to tell when I first found him because he was covered in grossness xD
And awhhhh, maybe you should think about getting a couple new rodent buddies soon ; w ; They're really not that hard to take care of, as long as there's a vet around you that sees them.

I found him treading gross water in my backed-up sink ; w ; I thought he was going to die last night because he was just laying on his side looking exhausted, but he perked right up after a couple hours of rest.
I'm only keeping him because I don't have anywhere safe to release him. Everything is covered in snow and it's below freezing here, and I can't just let him go in a building. XD;;;

lol i understand. I rescued a young kangaroo rat stuck in a muddy, watery bucket once.
Kept her for a few days to nurse her back to health as she was terribly skinny and didnt move much D:
Wanted to keep her but knew she just wasnt gonna be as happy as a pet ;w; so handed her over to the desert wildlife rescue here.
Theres also a little door mouse living in my dads office. He named him Nibbles and feeds him leftovers XD

For parasites treatments and help feel free to poke me, I'm a Show mice breedr from Quebec and in road for my exotic small animal Vet' diploma :3.
Wild mouse are generaly easy to tame since they feel most easily the fear. Since you dont fear, they will fast trust :3.
He/she looks pretty healty. If it's really small, you can give some flavour-free warm oatmeal too! Cooked rice and boiled egg too :3. It will boost the little fellow :D
This is me with one of my main breeding female, Nightwish <3

Such a sweet, cute little mouse! So happy you rescued the poor little one. I know far too many around here that would just as soon kill it or toss it into the cold than nurse it back to health. Sea-Pancake is right, they can be easy to tame once you gain their trust.
I had a semi tame one that lived in my parents house. It was a male, and I call him Mister Jenkins >.>;; He was a light brown door mouse with a tiny bit missing from his left ear and a little white splotch on his forehead. He must have been the one mouse in the house and basement my kitties could not catch, because he would come up to my room from a hole in my closet bwaha.
I met him one morening because I woke up from bed in high school and there was a mouse sitting on my chest, just...staring at me with twitchy whiskers, pawing at his face cleaning himself. We stared at each other for a while, before he scampered off. Ended up getting him checked out, he had a clean bill of health! So I was feeding him sunflower seeds from the sunflowers outside out of my hand before long <3
Mice are so sooo sweet, I remember how freaked out my dad was that "I was going to get sick because mice are dirty things" But I never did. Mister Jenkins. How I loved that little mousey!
This one is so cute and I'm so glad he will be spoiled by you and not freeze in the cold O_O
