I had a dog who knew how to be sneaky. She knew all too well what she was and wasn't supposed to do, but would do it anyway when you weren't paying attention. For example, she wasn't allowed on the furniture, so every day when we'd get home you'd hear her claws tapping on the floor as she hopped down before being noticed. And if you had food, she'd just stare and stare with the patience of a statue, but the moment you looked away she'd move in to swipe it right out of your hand, then look at you like nothing happened.
