Had to climb a bit up a tree for this shot, I recall... XD
A fully-grown and possibly gravid walkingstick, or stick insect. ^^ These slow-moving critters tend to stick near trees and shrubs, disguising themselves as branches and twigs. They're close relatives of mantids and katydids.
