This big fellow is probably not native to the small creek backup that I found him swimming around in. He's quite large (10 inch shell length) so I believe he's a prohibited pet that belonged to someone in the nearby college dorms who just let him go when they were going to be caught with the tank and turtle in their room illegally. Seems to be doing well, especially since while I was going to this school I made a point to leave cucumbers, tomatoes, and chunks of other edibles at the water's edge in case the fellow wasn't learned at survival. ^^'
