I used to fear these in a major way, but I confronted my fear and did intensive research on these little insects, finding out their many varied and wonderful qualities.
For example, did you know that earwigs are among the few insects or arachnids that give maternal care to their young after they've hatched? Mother earwigs have been known to keep their babies close to them for weeks, defending them to the death until they've molted several times and learned to fend for themselves.

^^' Thankee... after maturing a bit I had such an awakening with many kinds of critters. Spiders I already loved but earwigs, bees, centipedes and crickets took a bit of work!

I first learned of these creatures one morning at breakfast. One was sitting on my tube of gogurt....the thing bewildered me. This funky creature with pincers on its butt and likes gogurt. Then later on, I went to my dumpster to take out the trash, and the dumpster was covered in them. I had pincer butt creatures living in my garbage. They loved my garbage...and gogurt.
