"That doesn't look like a werewolf is supposed to!" Remember there is NO SUCH THING, so it's all up to the designer. How people think a werewolf should look is beholden to Rob Bottin's critters from "The Howling" - bipedal, furry, humanlike hands, almost fully lupine head. Great deisgn, but still.
The idea for this was to make it cheap, for a very low budget horror movie. Laying fur takes time, and time means money! There might be a thin coat of scraggly, coarse hairs, but otherwise no. The proportions are a dude in a latex suit, with stilts and finger extensions, neck and shoulders padded out, but otherwise it's supposed to look skinny to the point of being almost sickly. Mechanical masks are also expensive, so we're looking at prosthetics with the teeth set into the muzzle, or possibly facial appliances and oversized dentures (similar to those in the remake of Planet of the Apes which was a suck movie but had terrific make-up).
Special extra bonus: St. Sithney is the patron saint of mad dogs. he was offered the position of patron saint of teenage girls, but turned it down in favor of dealing with something less dangerous. Hah-hah.

The only werewolf that made me say that was the one in Harry Potter, because it looked more like a giant rat than a wolf > >
I think you're design is nice, especially when planned for a low budget movie. At least it does make you think of a wolf, even if a very humanoid one XD

I prefer them more wolf like, though some of the American Werewolf designs are cool
Here most people would consider that a huge waste of money only addicts or eccentrics (aka people with tons of money) would buy. But then again this is not america or even a large town, so mentalities are quite different ^^;;;

I loved what Rick Baker did An American Werewolf in London. Not only the look of the werewolf, but the transformation process as well. Will always be one of my favorite werewolf movies.
I also love Wolf. How novel! To have a werewolf actually become a real wolf. What an idea! lol
And, yes, I thought Van Helsing's werewolf was uber sexy. He was cliche. But I still really liked him.
But I'm very open to new ideas. I love your interpretation of the species.

I enjoyed Wolf, too, although I would have structured the script a bit differently (I also am amused by the fact that the werewolf pack lived withing spitting distance of my house in Vermont!). There are a few, a very few movies which use real wolves. I think they're just not scary enough to be satisfying - they look too much like our cuddly pets, and years of nature programs have made actual wolves into "noble" beasts instead of monsters. The big bad wolf has to be more exaggerated and abstracted to be effective.
This is a really awesome werewolf design. I like the long limbs and body style. I always like werewolves with longer snouts, but very true that it depends on the artist and imagination. Nothing is limited as there is no way a werewolf "should" look. this is great! and yes, would look awesome in a movie :)
