(Like Father, Like Daughter)
The plantsnake doesn't fall far from the other plant snake...! When you scale them down to the same age, they start looking even more alike...

Oooh, this one has really clean lines. Looks like you dialed down the noise/fuzz on the brush settings for this one.
Watching this get drawn was really fun. To see you use all those tools made me almost wish I had similar tools.
I like how you gave Percival's weapon the same color as Cosette and vice versa. And also how you made the colors seemingly glass-like and translucent.
It actually makes me think it's really some glasswork!
Hmm... What would you say is the key difference between these two (aside from gender)?

I did! I used the normal pen instead of the "Analog" or "G pen" that I usually use!
Thanks so much! I was so tired when I did this one, I was starting to get a little loopy...! I'm glad my determination to finish still held up, though! You should give firealpaca/medibang a try sometime, they're free, after all! The tools are very fun to mess with, medibang especially has some very interesting brushes!
Thank you! I like working with that kind of interesting color overlap/matching... I feel it really says a lot!
Hm! Well in general, I'd say that Cosette's asexuality makes her very different! Though in other personality traits, I'd say that Percival has more of a "firey" temper. Cosette tends to be cold and distant, though he often gets impassioned when he's angry.

I see. I find that the kind of brush you use really makes a difference for the drawing you make. I often experiment with what might be the best brush for me.
Hm, I don't think I've heard of Medibang before? I'll give them a try someday, though I fear I am too accustomed to SAI to really make an efficient switch.
Interesting to read about Cosette. But did you refer to her as a he at the end there? Maybe Cosette is hiding more secrets than we thought.

Oh yeah, I do the same! I often change brush to match the mood of the particular piece, or just base my piece around the brush! It's very fun sometimes, though I still find choosing the right lines for inking digitally to be a pain...
It's pretty nice! I use manga studio now and then, but medibang is a totally serviceable free program! It even has cloud storage for your drawings so you can access them from other machines! (That I never use because I just switch drawings between two computers) I believe it also is tablet/smartphone compatible? Not sure, since I have neither
Ahaha, I was referring to Percival! I just forgot to say his name... Sorry! No, Cosette never really gets the way her father does! Even at her angriest, her face tends to look only vaguely annoyed... But, Percival, well. I think you know how he looks!

Ah, I'm not really experimenting to see what brush matches what drawing the best. I am actually still at the stage where I am simply looking for which brush I think looks best in general. But maybe I am approaching this the wrong way.
Oh, cloud storage is interesting! Actually pretty useful for me because I draw on one computer but share with the other.
Ah, I see. Yeah, that makes a lot more sense now!

The funnest and most frustrating thing about art is that there is no real right way! Though in this case, I think it might be a good idea to find which brushes you like best in general, then start experimenting with changing to fit a mood. One of the most important things (I feel) is to find drawing a comfortable process instead of an intimidating one: that's how I get art blocked!

Sometimes when I reply to comments in excitement, my brain skips a few words... Ahaha! I do the same thing when writing prose too, it's awful!
