Very good, now did you take this photo?

Thankyou DJ, and yup i did take this photo :) photography is fast becoming a serious hobby for me. I'm umming and aaahing about leaning towards maybe a career in it but i don't have the qualifications needed (currently working in the motortrade as a parts technician at the moment), but am really pleased with my new camera i bought a couple of weeks ago.. even on "Auto" it gives some really really good results, as you can see here :P

Awesome! What was it like?

Was pretty beat up, lots of moss and lichen growing on the walls of the inside but in a reasonable state of repair, there were rumours that they were going to restore it but too much of the original castle is gone so i don't think they are going to do so anymore.

For what i remember the castle is on 3 levels with spiral staircases and grander wider staircases leading to large rooms which i assumed were bedrooms and a dining room with a BIG fireplace :)

That is so cool! I want to go to Europe someday to check out some castles. They're just so fascinating.

If you want a tip for the UK head North to Yorkshire and around that area as Whitby abbey is meant to be glorious :) i'll report in when i visit it hopefully this year
