This undamaged 3 inch mink skull has been thickly bathed in real 18k liquid gold leaf by hand, leaving the teeth pearly white. The visual effect is that of a 'gold dipped' skull rather than classic gold leafing. The skull hangs on a 14k electroplated gold chain (18 inch/spring clasp) in a pretty weave style; the chain runs through a bronze ring drilled into the back of the skull. The jaw is fixed open and only two tiny bottom front incisors are missing. No tooth damage. The teeth were cleaned with dental tools during processing and are clean and white. The skull has been finished with a satin sealant while the teeth have a glossy finish.

Beautiful lustrous golden shimmer on this baby! This is a very intense yet very simple piece.
