One would think that I, being a cheetah spending most my life in sunny Florida, would naturally love going to the beach always.
You're wrong.
I hate the beach.
Honestly.
Okay, truth be told, I like it in theory. I mean, what I actually hate is being in a public place with my shirt off so everyone can stare at my horrible obese self. Ugh. The horror. But, hey, I'm doing something about it. I got a solid week of going to the gym so far, and I ain't giving up yet. So, who knows, maybe this summer, I won't hate the beach.
Anyways, I digress. Currently, it's too cold to go to the beach. It was like, in the 40s today. Lovely day to break out my scarf collection. Shitty day to go to the beach. I'm digressing again. Sorry.
I got this commission back in the summer! It was around the time I was wanting something pin-up esque, and Gothwolf just so happened to be offering some pinups. So, I jumped on it. A bit too much than I should have. Got two things. Worth it, though, I think.
It's been a while since I got a picture of Skips being, like, shy or something. I've been getting way too many pictures of him being confident, or excited, or outgoing, or badass. I mean, not that those are bad things. Especially when it's alternate versions of Skips, such as Tribal Skips or whatnot. But, at his core, Skips is supposed to be me. He was supposed to be my personality and mannerisms mapped to a cheetah, and lately he's really been an excuse for being an idealized fantasy of myself. Do I still want to get all those awesome and different portrayals of Skips? Of course I do. But I don't want to ignore the personality I gave him originally.
And so, that's what this picture kind of is. Here, Skips is me. Yes, with an idealized body, but come on, let me aspire to something, alright? And yes, it's a pinup, but it's not Skips acting all pinup like. It's almost like a candid photo. Here I am, chilling at the beach. Not many people around. Actually relaxing. Looking over at a friend. Hey, what's that....did you just take a picture? And then I proceed to be hella embarrassed.
It's cute. It's me. It's how I'd like to be, at least. Me, being okay to be at the beach, actually enjoying myself, but still the shy introverted self I am. So I like this picture a lot. And I hope everyone else does as well.
Plus, with it being winter and all those snow storms happening up north, it'd be nice to give people a dream of summer.
