For those of you who don't know, Shikan has the ability to make his shed skin come to life, only to shape as a living tentacle. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14701309/
These little minions have a short life span, so they quickly search for prey it can get it's coils around, use the suction cups on it's underside to drain the energy from them to extend their time before they turn into dead skin. But, they seem to have evolved, and can now consume their prey by splitting either side of their tips like blooming flower petals, and latch air tight on their heads and feet, both swallowing and draining during the process. So now they can keep their prey instead of leaving them behind when they have their fill. Although it may slow down their mobility depending on the weight of their food, they will spit them out when they no longer have any energy to offer or if the Tentatail finds another victim.
