First off, I want to thank everyone for their support, and their patience, and their faith in me. I've been having a rough start to the New Year, which sucks. But I just have to keep my chin up and keep moving forward.
Sometimes when I'm going through an art block I'll find old artwork of mine and redraw it to get inspiration. I found this gem that I drew back in 2005, when I used to draw using a mouse. My skill with a mouse was about equal to my skills on paper, so you can imagine how pleased with this piece I was back then.
I decided to redraw this one because I used to love this picture so much. I was so proud of myself that I use this, not only using a mouse, but I felt like this was the best drawn piece I'd ever done. I was really proud of it. and even to this day, I'm still proud of it. If you're not proud of your work, how can you grow?
Even looking at the one I drew today, I can see a lot of things I still need to work on. But in comparison... If I could go back in time and show this to myself, I'd probably cry and never believe myself.
Also I decided to keep the horribly designed outfit LOL I mean, I couldn't bring myself to change it, it was too hilarious.
TL;DR
11 Years of drawing makes a huge difference. I've seen some artist who have this skill gap in only two or three years, but you know what, that's not everyone. It took me eleven years to get from there to here. And it's been a hell of a journey.
