Personality:


Traits:

As Michael, he can come off as a nice person, often being friendly when meeting new people. He often helps friends and allies if they ask, willing to lend what he can do to help them. He is respectful, to any of his friends, teammates, and even his fellow co-workers and boss at Dawson Shipping Co. He also does his best to keep a positive attitude, no matter the situation.

However, when he fights crime and evil as Cobalt, he is stoic, showing no fear when it comes to getting hurt and often never backs down from fighting until his enemy either retreats, surrenders or is defeated. He is very serious when it comes to his duty, often lacking positive emotion and keeps the more important tasks as his top priority. He shows respect to other superheroes and his teammates, and works well as a leader for his team. And can be very dependent on his own, holding his ground well and will do his best to ensuring a well-defended position.


Flaws:

He is, however not without his flaws. He can sometimes be too forgiving, even showing mercy to his most ruthless of enemies and will even attempt to save their life if they are put in a dangerous scenario: i.e. about to fall to their death or dying from severe wounds. This could also put him in danger, and sometimes can backfire. Although he is a soldier, he dislikes unnecessary violence, and often tries to reason his way out of fights unless violence is needed. He will often recklessly put his life on the line to save others, even if the person is someone he dislikes. He is stubborn when it comes to fighting criminals and Imperial-Bots and will try to keep on fighting, even if the odds are completely against him. He also loves to eat food, a lot, and has slightly poor table manners, often scarfing down his meals and even ignorantly taking food that someone else was about to eat. While trying to have a positive perspective on things, Cobalt hides a severe depression, caused by the war on his homeworld, the uncertainty of his teammates and homeworld, and the death of his earth friend. He tends to keep it to himself, but he can let it slip sometimes.

Abilities:

-Has superhuman strength and durability.

-Can fly for unprecedented amounts of time.

-Can use a variety of energy projectiles and shields.

Fighting style:


Weaknesses:

-Can be worn out if put under continuous physical punishment over the course of a battle.

-Prefers a fair fight, meaning if his opponent is only using their fists he will do the same.

-Can sometimes lose concentration and focus if he can't think of a good strategy, which can leave him vulnerable and sloppy.

-Despite having built-in self repair systems, it takes time for it to completely repair any damage to him and cannot regenerate any lost parts.

-Despite being a robot, he has two internal parts that are very important to keep him functional. A brain module (in his head) and a core (in his chest). If either one of these are destroyed, his systems will cease to function and he will die.

-His energy manipulation abilities can be draining and can cause him to become weakened or even shut down if he uses them constantly without recharging or replenishing his energy reserves.
