As for the water:

^w^ Anyways, lovely art, and effective underwater background. I've always wondered, do otters hold their breath, or have some magical breathing system like fish? (Although I'm pretty sure otters don't have gills. I may be wrong, my otter anatomy isn't too good)
Also, yes, otters hold their breath underwater. xD No gills or magical waterbreathing mechanisms involved.
And damn, there goes my awesome theory....
One little bit of critique; I agree with WarMock about the bubbles, but that's not what I'm getting at. I noticed something a little off about her nose, and then when I looked at it properly, I noticed something really strange. It looks really pixellated or something... Just doesn't look right. Did you do that by accident, or purpose, or what?
And haha, it's an easy mistake to make. XD
