Old Art: In the Future! Issue 2, Cover
Enter ITF, a monumental turning point in my life and the realization of just what I really was once as I matured. The guy on the right would be the first incarnation of my 'fursona,' and yes he is NOT a skunk. I didn't even think about becoming a skunk for another couple of years, and in fact it took me numerous furry species doodles until I exhausted all of the common animals and actually thought of drawing a skunk furry, which took a hold of me and has to this day refused to let go (and for those of you familiar with my sexual peculiarities the idea of a skunk actually first popped up when I was coming up for enemies in my little fetish experiment comic books that came after this. There was no 'pronz' for what I was interested in, so I created it as I thought of it. Skunk and slime went hand in hand in my mind since my earliest days of furriness. The characters also got captured an excessive amount of times, on average of twice an issue, pointing to some of my other current interests. I stopped drawing this comic when my sister asked why they got captured all the time).
In fact, I had no idea what a furry was until a good 3-4 years after I drew this comic. I came up with the idea myself in the first issue when I decided to make one of the heroes in the comic a 'permanent' werewolf. I liked the idea so much that I turned two other characters into the same thing, including myself. I kept drawing a more perverted (but never anything beyond what I saw in cartoons- and mind you cartoons have a good deal of bondage and vore in them when you think about it) version of this comic, privately, throughout high school. Eventually I found out the internet is cool and started spending more time on it. I found Dee Dreslow's art- and surprise surprise she drew furry creatures too! She called them 'anthropomorphic.' I was actually a tad miffed because I thought she had stolen my idea. Still I was more happy than not because I was not alone. I then found Elfwood and realized the phenomenon was much larger than I thought. I let that site manipulate me and drew fantasy-themed art for a good couple of years before finding furry-themed sites, and even furry-themed smut sites (yes, I am a SLOW mover). Eventually I got here and that's my story. Aren't you glad you suffered through all that crap I just uploaded to hear it? Don't worry, though, there's still more: I'm throwing some ITF pages up just for the heck of it, BECAUSE I CAN!
All of the names are censored for the sake of my high school friends in which these characters are based off of, because I know most of them would not want to be associated with you lot. :P ;)

I think it's a good question, though. Who ARE the cats? Also, who watches The Watchers?
Also, thanks for your life's story. It's a TINY bit more complicated than mine, but not much. Glad to see you were/are every bit as paranoid as I was/am.
Also, I knew the first names of a bunch of your friends due to something you seem to want never to have happened, but I've since forgotten them. Hurrah! I bet those were college friends though, huh?

*noddles* Yeah. Honestly I don't really care if they find out about this or not, blocking them out just seemed like the right thing to do. Not to mention I got a fair bit of despicable pleasure out of erasing their names permanently from my memories.
I just love the fact that I was a furry before I even knew what a furry was. It really helps me in a lot of 'can't you just be normal' arguments.
Also: Who watches the Watchmen?
Nobody, because the rights are currently tied up in the court system.

*misses* I was the same way with bondage, actually. I got weird feelings every time I saw the Care Bears get captured (which happened a fair amount more than it should have) and used to tie myself up with shoe strings in kindergarten.
Thankfully I never dove into any lion mouths in third grade though.

Oh... by the way, Aesop also stole your idea for anthropomorphizing characters too.
Actually, Reynard and Edgar were made one year before high school (then named... Dingo and Rocky... Lol...) and developed a LOT through my high school years.
BLAH BLAH BLAH!...
Anyway, it's funny how probably 90% of us were obsessed with drawing animals and anthros LONG before we knew of the fandom.

Hey, I never said I claimed fame to EVERYTHING. Just the serious, comic-book styled half-and-half characters. I guess I thought I was the first one to think of them as legitimately serious characters for adults as well as children. I also KNOW I was wrong. :S
My high school years were also a pivotal time for me, and 'Stank' pretty much arose out of the middle to end of those years. Unfortunately he had no friend/straight man companion/fatty.
And I like the names Dingo and Rocky. :I

... Oh indeed. The internet exposes you to a lot of things... a LOT... of... things....
What's even more Lolable is that Reynard and Edgar started out as the pitifully stereotypical "Smart, Irritable Guy/Dumb, Sweet Guy" pair... which is painfully overdone now that I think about it. I'm SO glad I veered away from that.
Krat... actually came from my Freshmen year of College.
Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....
