Being in a location that actually gets a winter for extended months, we have noticed a change in some of the patients. Usually from tropical or desert climates, their fur is very thin and soft, but not without bulk. However in the colder months, a thicker coat grows in to replace their normally light coat.
This means that the laundry needs to start mixing in some larger clothing to deal with the added bulk near the mid fall. This includes pants, socks, shirts and any aparrel used in some of the other wards. This laundry rotation applies until early or mid spring, when the thicker coats shed.
