Well, a webcam shows a single angle. And it's easy to edit, with the video stream being in full control of the person on the video.. random shapeshifting would be easier to explain via some super fancy video effects than via actual biology. The skyscraper freakout though? That's on a variety of cameras of different types, with different angles, all controlled by different people and probably uploaded to different places. Harder to fake :D
