Glad you mentioned the specific isotope so that I can tell you just how wrong you are. . .Ahem:
U-235 doesn't glow green. In fact, aside from being slightly warmer, you wouldn't be able to tell a block of uranium from a block of lead, and it's exactly as dangerous to hold. U-235 doesn't cause mutations, it would take U-232 in an EXTREMELY small dose in order to mutate someone. Any more and you'd just die. And most things don't have green pigments in their skin, no matter how much uranium they've seen.
It wouldn't have been so bad if you had him use a tiny dose of U-232, but this is absolutely ridiculous. It's like calling an aeroplane a steam locomotive.
