Don't we know it.

I'm always a little confused about the physics of an inflation... What exactly is inflating, is it the lungs the push out so big? Or the stomache? Even with the mouth plugged all the air should come out the nose, ears, "tailhole" or possibly even eyes, why doesn't it? What happens to the skeletal structure and the organs durring an inflation?
