Price Sold For
If you have sold the suit/parts since this review, how much did you sell for? Put N/A if not sold or leave blank if you decline to say.
800 USD (sold as a partial including head, armsleeves, paws, tail, and feetpaws).
Did the maker meet your deadline?
No, I wanted it for FurCon15. Never showed, no communication. Was so bummed I canceled the con. I'll continue that later in the review.
Did you tell the maker about any issues you had?
No, should have though. I'm too nice.
How many hours have you worn/used the item(s) you're reviewing?
Give your best estimate.
I had the suit for a good 7 months? Countless hours!
FURSUITHEAD
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the fursuit.
How satisfied are you with the fit of the head?
Is it too tight or loose? Does anything poke you, stab you, make it uncomfortable to wear? Is it lined comfortably?
The head was very loose. They never asked for my head measurements. Wish I gave them. The mask fell off my face and I had to pad it with more foam; that fixed my problem. The resin mask kept hurting my nose, and I had to foam that too. It was not lined, I had to provide my own balaclava.
How is the ventilation?
Can you breathe well? Is the mask stuffy? Does the air circulate through your head?
It was built on a DVC mask and was pretty stuffy, but the mouth was articulated and once that was open it was fine. There was also a fan in the muzzle.
How is the vision?
Can you see well in front of you? Is there a large blind spot? Do you have to turn your head to see? (Note: most suits do not have peripheral vision)
I personally did not like the duct tear vision, wish I did more research on the fursuit style. I could barely see and when the head was slipping off I could not see. This is one of the main reasons why I sold the suit.
How is the symmetry?
Are the eyes or ears lopsided? Are the markings symmetrical per character design?
The ears were way off, they were lopsided. If you look at the mask head on, it's very noticeable. The markings were spot on though.
Is the shaving even?
Can you see the backing? Is it choppy? Is the transition to long fur what you were looking for?
Shaving was great
How satisfied are you with the expression and overall appearance of the head?
The ears were lopsided and so were the antlers. It can pass but it's pretty noticeable. The expression was fine, I liked it. However, there were holes behind the ears and the zipper area which came right out of the box. Wish I took pictures but I can sew and fixed them. The jaw hinge actually came undone within a few hours of suiting. It was glued with what appeared to be hot-glue. I used a stronger glue and it fixed it. A little annoying.
EARS
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with each feature of the ears, especially if they are seperate from the fursuit head.
How is the quality of the ears? Are you satisfied with the materials used?
Are they too cumbersome? Can you pull on them without tearing? Are they even on your head?
The were lopsided
GENERALVISUAL ASPECTS
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with visual aspects associated with the fursuit.
How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
If there was no concept art, please state N/A
The markings were mostly spot on, however I wanted the maker to paint the tips of the antlers green. They did not. In the photos you will see that I painted the horns myself. I also wanted black fangs, but was given white... never asked about that. Both those were obvious on the sheet I sent them.
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Do you markings match up at the seams? Are the colors consistent?
Markings were fine. The green markings on the face was a different green that the ears, so that was weird. Also there were holes on the backs of the ears where the head/ears met.
COMMUNICATION
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with all the aspects of communication between you and the maker.
How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
I went through the maker via Etsy. They were easy to contact with the first few weeks and until about the final payment. But for about a good 2-3 months, no contact whatsoever.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take them to respond?
At first they were fast but over the course of 2-3 months absolutely no contact. I was very distraught and thought I was scammed.
How satisfied are you with the level of professionalism and friendliness of the maker?
Were they pleasant to work with?
During their absence I was very upset and sad, and had requested it to be done for FurCon15 (January) and I cancelled the con because my head was not done nor I was getting any updates. I sent them countless messages and nothing. In about February I got a message stating that their internet was out for those months (or something along those lines) and that my head was done and they were sending it. I'm glad there was communication finally and that I got the head, instead of getting scammed but those few months were agonizing.
OVERALL
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with your overall experience with the maker and the fursuit itself.
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
Terrible. No contact, very stressful and missed it by a month. I would have been fine with updates and even so, but no contact was bad.
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
Quality i'd give a 6/10. It was okay and passable at most, but there were some key things that we're bad as previously stated.
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service with the maker?
When the maker returned after their months' hiatus, they were very apologetic and sent the suit within days of FINALLY messaging me. I guess I can give them that.
Describe your experience. What were the pros and cons of working with this maker? And any final comments?
Overall, 5/10. The months of no contact, the lopsided things, and the holes were things that could have been avoided. The head though, I fixed what I could and I enjoyed the character/suit in the end. What is giving it such a low grade is the lack of contact for those months and the unnecessary stressed I had. I no longer own the suit/character but thought this review was needed now that I recently sold the character/suit.

Honestly this is my problem with people using resin premade bases and then opening up for commissions. I think more new makers need to spend time learning to make a head themselves from scratch than to just fur a premade base, then when they have making suits to a decent standard down then use premades to sell or whatever they want. Sorry you had a rough time :/
I disagree with the two above. As a suit maker, there is nothing wrong with using premade parts to make a suit head. Lots of people LIKE it and WANT it, so why not. Not every one has the skill to make suit heads, even on blanks.
Its a bummer though they left out on some key details like the horns and fangs. That would bum me out too.
