It was just after seven, and the lynx stared blankly down at the red counter-top of the slurp n’ gulp. Such an odd name for a restaurant that served foreign food, but as an android with the mind of a long dead girl, she was not one to judge. When the bowl of ramen was placed down in front of her however, Meer’s face changed from that of a lost kitten to someone who hadn't eaten all day, and from her perspective she had not eaten in years. Food was now foreign to her, she could taste it, feel it, smell it. Everything was the same as it should be, but if she decided it would be simple to remove any of these senses from play, or even make it taste terrible if she wished. However the android still needed the intake, she could fuel her core in a many number of ways but by far the best method to do so, at least the safest method, was food. She nodded to the penguin behind the counter swiftly as the bowl was placed down, Brooklyn, she believed the girl’s name was and said a quick thank you. There was something about the meal before her that made her feel warm, there was love and effort put into that meal and it would be much appreciated.

Chopsticks in hand, at first the lynx was hesitant, almost unsure of what to do, but within the next few seconds she handled them expertly in her fingers and began to eat. She savoured the taste, and this, this had to be the best meal that she had since coming to mainland America from the island. Thus far she had been used to getting energy from fast food meals across town, simple, quick and easy, she never had to stay in one place for a long time and despite her not being detected thus far she was always wary of CTI not being far behind. Meer had believed that she would be able to handle whatever was sent after her, drones, police, mercs, whichever it ended up being, but she was not about to waste all she had made progress for getting caught in a fight.

The lynx wanted revenge, she wanted to make people suffer and tear down Swift Tech and CTI brick by brick. Their higher ups would bleed and the companies would crumble, unable to sustain themselves after the damage that she would do to them, and then, only then, would no more victims suffer at their hands, no more monsters created. The only thing she did not know however is what she would end up doing after, but she could not imagine a world that far ahead, it was much too soon and this was going to be a long war that she would be fighting alone against these corporate giants. So she had to continue, going on as if she was a normal civilian in Colmaton, carefully she would gather weapons, map out the city, learn of it’s local groups and perhaps even broker a few deals to help get her an edge, and then, then she would murder each and everyone she could get her hands on in the Swift Tech complex here in order to get closer and closer to the company’s heart.

For now however, the android lynx remained at this noodle bar, peacefully enjoying her food and staring into the hot liquid within. For now, she was at peace.

After a while, Meer finished her meal, offering a smile before pulling out money from her jacket just as she lifted the bowl to her mouth in one hand. Letting the liquid flow down her throat, and putting the money on the counter. “Keep the change.” She replied, standing and stepping back, before heading off, waving as she heard behind her, a loud thank you in Japanese.
