There's no species for Angel on here? How is that possible?

I wanted to try a colored paper, and I must say, it worked very well. I'm please with the way the colored pencils went on and the way a medium grey colored paper can really make the highlights stand out.

I used a photo of myself as a reference. In a way, this started as a self-portrait. I drew it during a low time in my life. I put those feelings into the drawing. Once the drawing was done, I had let those negative feelings go. I've had my Mom and other family members ask me if it's a self-portrait. I tell them it's not, because I've detached myself from it. The drawing is of a person that's not me because I moved through that time in my life. I'm not sad any more.

I've also had people tell me that it looks unfinished because there should be more cloth under the figure. Well, it is finished. I left it that way for a reason. The title is "Impure" and part of the message is about being alone, isolated, and not having any comfort or help within reach.
