It was a calm quiet night. Only the sound of the ocean waves crashing and the crackling of the fire. The light of the fire and blue lanterns wasn't to bright so we can the see the stars. My mate laid on top of me as we just just kept silent. For a short moment I could feel his heart beat, and feel his pulse.

"I would do so much for you to keep you safe." I said softly "I'd go all the way to chaos city and fight the demon army all over again just for you! But I don't think we need to worry about that"

Skyla just laid there in slience. I knew he just wanted to hear the gentle sounds of the beach. I looked up at the stars and knew that I found happiness, and I am sure he felt the same!

"awww, thanks sweetie" he said as he scratched my ears. I knew that only he could make the clouds go away in my heart and let a bright rainbow shine! He looked into my eyes, and I looked into his! His gold eyes shined in the moonlight.

“…”

“whats wrong kitten?” I asked as he looked around “is something wrong?”

“I think I feel the ground…moving!’

“moving? Don’t be silly! Iam sure there is an earthqua-“ I couldn’t finish my sentence cause a sand demon came out and it glared down at me and my mate.

“BABE!” he shouted.

“just stay behind the lanterns!” I yelled as I grabbed rebellion and charged at the demon. I didn’t want my mate to get in harms way, so I tried to get the demon to chase me but that was a bad idea! The demon dashed passed me, but I was only able to cut its ribs.

“TAC!!!” he screamed! I ran after the demon and jumped on its back and crawled up its back and stabbed its head multiple times! It grabbed me and threw me to the ground and pinned me down! I was able to slip my right paw and held it up to the demons face! I shot a blast wave right in its face! The demon flew back and I got up quickly and got into my battle stance. “come get some your pice a shit!” I shouted again. But then my worst nightmare hit me! The demon charged at my mate again! Only this time I was to slow to react after my blast wave! The demon then pounced on my mate, and clawed at him! I lost it then…I felt my heart rate stop! I fell to my knees and felt my rage increase! I stood up and felt my brothers fury take over! I stood up and drew my brothers buster sword! (Tac cannot draw Shades buster sword unless Tac feels Shades fury unleashed). I charged at the demon with full rage, and started to slash the demon over and over again without slowing down! As if I couldn’t control my rage, it wasn’t me slaying this thing! I couldn’t stop slashing!

“time to end this!” I heard my brothers voice in my head! I stood in a stance as the buster sword started to glow red!

“DRAGON FIRE CROSSBOW!” I shouted as a blast from the sword shot into the demon right in the chest! After the demon bled out, it fell and slowly turned to sand. I felt my brothers fury die down. Then the sword started to sting! I had to back mount it! I had to catch my breath. I saw my mate laid there motionless! “KITTEN!” I ran over to him to see if he was alright!

“skyla?...SKYLA!” I shook him a little. I can see him breathing, and fell his pulse, so I knew he was still alive! Then he opened his eyes!

“Are you alright”?

“I…I think so…” he said with a soft smile.

“come on…i’ll take you home!”
