This is beautiful work! Love the warm colours, too!
But...I Hate to be "that guy" though, and I hope you don't take this as an insult in any way, shape, or form, but that's technically a "BakeNeko" meaning the tails have "yet to split (In two whole tails)".
Normally, BakeNeko's are: "Fun, Mischievous, and Like to dance in groups/or to get reactions out of people" and don't harm people in any form besides scaring the bejeebus outta them when "caught" dancing.
( because, Y'know, upright dancing cats in a group or alone are...scary?)
Whereas, "NekoMata" are said to have their tails completely split and have two tails, and are known to: "Tear humans into bits while in the forest/mountains, Change into and take over their master's appearance (or body altogether) and land/property as well as make the dead and their bodies "Dance on whim" with the swaying of their two tails in tune with their paws."
So NekoMata are considered, well, ruthless Killers Kitties past the 100 year mark (hence two tails and why they usually take over their Master's appearance and household, especially if killed by them).
Whereas BakeNeko's are "Funloving, Mischievous and will help their master/human friend in anyway they can (Money wise)" and their tails start splitting into two at the seven year mark.
I'm really sorry if I sound like a pompous "know-it-all". I'm honestly not trying to be at all D: ! I just thought It'd be cool to have some backstory on both Mythical cats and was wondering if the cat in the picture is "becoming" a NekoMata or is a BakeNeko and just misnamed ^m^;! Please discard this information if you knew already and please take no offense!
I Just know this because I have a Japanese Step-Grandma and she wanted me to know her culture, so I've studied since I was eleven on Japanese culture, as well as language ( 21 now and I'm pretty fluent in Japanese ). I'm sorry for being "That Guy".
However, I really do love your art and Comics!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and again, sorry ;v; !
Also, Fun Fact; That's one of the reasons (Well, Stories, more like.) why the Japanese Bob tail has a [i]bobbed tail. There are many stories, but one is: The Emperor had ordered everyone with a pet cat(s) and to round up stray cats, too, so they could Bob their tails and "Never have tragedies by the hands of these cats, and so humans and cats may live in peace with each other once more."
