They say, its a reindeer, but I think, thats more caribou like

For all intents and purposes the only difference between reindeer and caribou is what side of the fence they are living on. Reindeer live inside the fence and caribou live outside the fence, put them side by side and you would not be able to tell the difference. From a management perspective you wouldnt use reindeer to repopulate a caribou herd but this would be more as a matter of preserving gene pool integrity and making bureaucrats feel stupid than anything else.

That is one cute little caribou just the same.

I've never heard the difference between reindeer and caribou put quite like that before - well done. I've worked with reindeer in the past - hopefully I'll have a few of my own in the not too distant future.

I always wanted to get some reindeer when I was keeping whitetail, but never had the time or space for it. When I can get back into working with deer I will definitely go for some reindeer as well.
