Just pleased with some pics I took of my sister's dog to send to a breeder . . . fingers crossed, Ike may have another booty call pretty soon. He's what they call a "normal eyed non-carrier", which means he doesn't have bad genes that cause some kind of godawful degenerative eye disease in collies, and apparently that's pretty rare, so Ike has sought-after DNA. Lucky boy.
I dunno the details, I just snap pictures. The day was quite overcast so they needed a lot of prettying up in chop afterwards.

The reason why is that females in heat shed so much they end up looking quite threadbare and extremely un-photogenic. And of course the Lassie movies and original tv show were back before spaying female dogs had become routine. Now I think it's tradition. At any rate, they're so hairy it's impossible to tell one way or another.
