I want to explain why they really don’t appear they didn’t appear a lot in the generation 1 games was because if you looked at it pikachu was not helpful at all against any of the gym leader’s aside from misty by the time you battle random trainer and your rival when their pokemon pass lvl 30 pikachu isn’t really helpful anymore so pikachu isn’t rare it’s useless but it is useful in pokemon yellow for the gameboy and sorry if this didn’t make sense and didn’t. Have to do with what you posted but I still like pikachu
