Had fun playing Amiibo Festival with Nux and his mum! ...And I don't even play Animal Crossing! I just thought these two were super cute doodle material, lololol

Hee hee! I only know a little about that, Nux told me some! I bet it would be sad to see that such a cute lil fluffball is already taken tho, hohoho
Hm... What I think! I don't like the pricetag either, or the fact that you need the amiibos to play... It's a bit annoying that it feels like a cash in, in that respect. I don't really like any of these trends in gaming with the "buy collectible figures to actually be able to play a game you already paid fullprice for."
... That's what I thought til I actually played it! Nux's mom loves AC and Mario Party, so it was a natural christmas present for her. Nux even got her all the amiibos, and she's really happy with it! Once I actually played the game, my opinion changed a lot: it's charming, adorable, fun, and a nice relaxing experience. That being said, I wouldn't pay full price for it, especially if I didn't have a good group of people to play with. Some reviews seem to say that the amiibo use is awkward and clunky, but I didn't think so at all! It felt a lot more like a real boardgame than marioparty, I think. (you use the amiibo that represents your character to roll the dice, by holding them to the gamepad briefly; it feels a lot like moving your piece in a real, physical boardgame in some ways) There's also the dangerous fact that there are so many adorable amiibo to purchase with the game... I can see it being a real moneysuck! But for us, it was probably the most perfect gift we could have gotten for Nux's mom.

Yes! That's exactly it. "As long as your husband is in a coma, you're available."
...If they weren't cute and cuddly characters, that phrase sounds like something out of a dark story.
Ah, yes. I think the biggest problem is that I won't have a single person to play with. If it had online, I'd at least be able to play with you guys, but that's a no go now, sadly.
Yep. The amiibo are both a blessing and a curse in this regard. It is definitely innovative and helps with the immersion, I bet. But that you need to have an amiibo for every single person is very pricey! (Well, you can play with an Amiibo card, I believe, but then you can't save progress on the Amiibo.)
Thank you for your mini review. I think that I won't get the game, despite the fact that it looks like something I could really enjoy.

-takes notes- I'll be using that as a plot device, thank you
You're welcome! It's no problem, glad to help inform your purchase! The curse of all multiplayer: not having anyone to play with > >
You'll just have to come play it with me and Nux and his mom! That sounds like great fun, actually. ^v^
