Because EVERYONE loves mosquitoes!
-Phosphora are small, mosquito like Grimm
Appearance: Their white wings are a meter in length. A helix pattern of plating runs clockwise on their thorax with small red dots between. Their abdomens are armour plated with red details, keeping their stored fluid safe. They sport a long, needle-like proboscis from their head, antennae and two large, red compound eyes.
Abilities & Powers: Like any mosquito would, Phosphora drain fluids from their proboscis. Flying around either singly or in a swarm. When they are full their abdomens produce a red glow, giving them their namesake. If agitated and not feeding Phosphora will often simply impale attackers. Whether Phosphora carry disease like regular mosquitoes has yet to be proven since most attacks lead to be fatal from blood loss.
Name: The name is a combination of phosphorus, a luminescent substance and the Psorophora ciliata, a large and aggressive specie of mosquito in the United States
