(Had countless Pokemon succumb to Electrode's Exploding moves.) And I know that I'm not the only one who hate that a lot. XD

Well...IIRC, for a long time, Electrode was the FASTEST Pokemon around. You could use him for a speedy explosive...but for more fun, perhaps Thunder or Thunder wave (to get a first shot in and paralyze the target).
