well sometimes, I'm all for putting an animal down, but only under strict circumstances like if they are suffering horribly and are going to die anyway, it's more humane than letting them suffer

That's a totally different situation.
Even though it's sad, some (usually) older animals are too far gone to have a good life past some point.
Though I'll admit, I think the same for humans, too. Someone who has no chance of ever getting better and who really doesn't want to suffer for the rest of their life should be allowed to go.

But peta has uh... VERY weird standards for which animals they'll let live (usually it's based on looks/"adoptability")

yeah, they pretty much screw up their own campaigns with their beliefs.
and honestly, I would be more than happy to adopt an older animal, they're much calmer and usually like to snuggle more XD.

to be fair, the ads DO seem pretty random, so it might take a few refreshes!

I got adblock plus and haven't seen a single ad since. I was leery of it at first but I love having it now. Sometimes I DO miss the ads from artists here a little bit, but not often or very much. ;3

:V yeah looking at artist ads is pretty much the only reason why I don't have it on (on one of my two chrome sessions)

Course, if I want to see those artist ads I can always disable the adblock till I get tired of the BS again too.
