Anyways, this is a much more successful attempt at drawing on only one layer in opencanvas.

This is Pepper, she's an albino otter. She works with the mongoose-fella in the coffee shop. She is very social, but not necessarily talkative. Her favorite coffee is a caramel cappuccino with extra whip cream and a cherry, and she can't stand the bitterness of espresso shots. She loves rainy weather because she really likes umbrellas.

I am so in love with this character, she is so adorable. .3.
